Reasoning: The race for the West will be won by the team that has the best chemistry. With all the pieces in place, the Clippers will climb to the top of the rankings only to be beaten out in the end by the veterans of a bygone era (Nets). The rest of the teams have gotten worse over the off season or have added players that won't exactly push their teams over the top. The Thunder don't have the depth. The Spurs are too old and will be worked out of the playoffs in the first round. The Warriors will be nagged by injuries the whole season and will be pushed around by the Griz in the post season. The Blazers don't have the tenacity to push deep into the playoffs and can't contain a full strength Westbrook and Durant. The Mavericks blow it up this summer, but not before Dirk rattles off a first round for the ages. The Nuggets have the talent, but lack the leadership and last year was a crucial turning point for the worse. Timberwolves run into injury problems, again. The kings surprise people this year and almost make the playoffs only to find in big games they lack experience. The Pelicans are not a good team and won't beat teams over 500. Tankers are self explanatory.

Reasoning: The Eastern conference has a fissure between it's 4 top tier teams and the lower 12. The Nets are my favorite for the same reason that the Clippers are at the top of the Western Conference. They have players that know their role and they do it well. I believe that the Clippers actually have more talent than the Nets, but what the Nets lack in talent they make up for in experience and rings. The only way that the Heat don't repeat is that the Pacers knock them off. This is the only way or the Heat will repeat as Champs. Even with GO Lebron and Bosh, the Heat still don't beat the Pacers. Wade is injured. Pacers might actually top the rankings, but something tells me they save most of the regular season to beat the Heat. As much as I hate to say it, the Bulls will be injury ridden. Knicks win the series against the Bulls because Amare is back and the shear anger and energy on the knicks team kicks the shit out of their first opponent and then they don't show up for round two. The Knicks are in the 5 position because their brand of basketball doesn't win championships... and they don't play balanced. Pistons surprise everybody this year and are a formidable squad, but don't make much noise in playoffs. Wizards could go higher in the rankings, but they lack the chemistry to be effective. Too much Wall not enough ladder. The Cavaliers could go as high as 6, but that all depends on what kind of hair cut Bynum gets. Celtics blow it up. Raptors blow it up late in the season. Bucks stay mediocre, forever... or until they build an actual team that plays with each other longer than 4 years. Magic will rebuild quickly. Hornets need a blessing from God to turn their franchise around. What the hell are 76'ers doing?

Well, that all folks. We'll see how this turns out.
