Notes and Books - Winter '15

Monocultural farming is lending to the desertification of large areas of the planet. When the plants' food comes from fertilizer factories, the microbial communities that make soil into a living environment and the great web of wildlife are ignored. This is no way to sustain the soil for future generations.

By exploring, we gain a familiarity and bond with the land.

Our terminology should be kept within ourselves.

Technology should be an extension of our power, not a crutch.

Mitigating our responsibilities to technology is not progress.
